Standard vs Queen
Standard Solos are the same in length, level, requirements
and ability as Queen. You simply choose in which one you would like to compete.
All levels offer both categories.
Standard are less expensive, the award is a normal sized trophy and the results are posted not announced.
Queens are a little more expensive,
the award is a large trophy to each who dances and all 1st place winners are
also awarded a tiara & sash.
Queen categories are the only ones where Overall Awards are
eligible (often only in the Professional (pro) level only).
Often, the three highest Queen Solos are awarded Overall
Awards.
At Nationals, only Queens are eligible for MVP National
Champion honors and most All-American Honors.
Trophies
All Sols, Duets, and Trios are awarded Trophies for EACH time
they dance.

At America on Stage, we believe every dancer, team, and director should be highly recognized for their excellent achievement. Accordingly, we offer the best awards program anywhere! Every dancer receives an individual award for every event competed (including team). Every team receives a team award for every event competed. Every studio receives at least one large trophy. And then at a special Awards Extravaganza at the end of every level (immediately after all scores have been tallied) we present overall awards and a fun sportsmanship and spirit aw
We offer three kinds of awards in our levels:
MULTIPLE AWARDS - All Dancers receive either a 1st, 2nd or 3rd based on score. The highest score in every division awarded 1st automatically. 29.2 and greater = 1st, Between 28.7 and 29.2 = 2nd, Between 27.0 and 28.7 = 3rd.
DOUBLE AWARDS - All Dancers receive either a 1st, 2nd or 3rd based on score (Multiple Awards), AND Receive a Rating of High Gold, Gold, Silver, Bronze. 29.5 and greater = High Gold, Between 29.1 and 29.5 = Gold, Between 28.6 and 29.1 = Silver, Between 27.0 and 28.6 = Bronze.
SINGLE AWARDS - One 1st, one 2nd one 3rd. All Dancers scored and compared against each other. Highest score = 1st, etc. AND Receive a Rating like Double Awards
DANCE - Novice, Beginning - MULTIPLE AWARDS, Intermediate - DOUBLE AWARDS, Advanced - SINGLE AWARDS
CLOG - Nov, Beg, Int, Adv - MUTLIPLE AWARDS, Championship - DOUBLE AWARDS, Pro - SINGLE AWARDS
