AWARDS PROGRAM

 AMERICA ON STAGE

Specialty Awards at Nationals | Awards Explanation

At America on Stage, we believe every dancer, team, and director should be highly recognized for their excellent achievement.  Accordingly, we offer the best awards program anywhere!  Every dancer receives an individual award for every event competed (including team).  Every team receives a team award for every event competed.  Every studio receives at least one large trophy.  And then at a special Awards Extravaganza at the end of every level (immediately after all scores have been tallied) we present overall awards and a fun sportsmanship and spirit award.

Here’s how it works.

1. You compete.

2.      Every Entry receives a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd Place based on your Score (there will be more than one entry for every place based on the scoring of the judges – the 1st posted entry IS NOT the highest scoring entry – that is based on when registered).

3.      All Scores are then Posted in Results Posting Area.

4.      You find your Name or Name of your Team to see what Place you earned.

5.      Go to the Awards Table and pick up your Award (team awards given to directors for you).

Here are the exciting America on Stage Awards:

      1.    EVERY DANCER – All Individuals pick up their special competition MEDALLION.

2.         STUDIO – Director picks up a special STUDIO TROPHY at the registration Table.

3.         TEAMS – Director receives a place plate (1st, 2nd, or 3rd) to display on the STUDIO TROPHY.

4.         TEAM MEMBERS – Director picks up a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd Place RIBBON for each team member.

5.         SOLOS, DUETS, TRIOS – Individuals pick up a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd Place RIBBON each time they compete at the Awards Table.

6.         DANCE (Jazz, Hip Hop, Lyrical, etc) SOLOS and DUET/TRIO – Individuals pick up a TROPHY each time they compete (queens do not receive these, see below).

7.         DANCE QUEENS – Individuals are presented on stage with a TIERRA, SASH, and TROPHY.

8.         PRO CLOG SOLOS AND DUETS – Individual pick up 1st, 2nd, or 3rd Place MEDALLIONS.

9.         OVERALLS – Directors are presented with TROPHIES or MEDALLIONS.  There are awards for high-scoring TEAMS and high-scoring STUDIOS (adding all scores together).

10.     NATIONALS & JR OLYMPIC QUALIFIERS – Directors receive a special HOT TICKET.

11.     HOT TICKET – Certificate showing teams who qualified for Nationals at Lagoon.

12.     SPECIALTY AWARDS – Each competition offers other awards.  Check details in their competition information.

*All Awards are available at the AWARDS TABLE - Studio Trophy given at REGISTRATION TABLE.

*Directors receive Team Awards at the end of the day, when picking up their judge sheets.
